Smart Water Project Designer

A design tool for solar and gravity water pumping schemes, from source intake through the pump station to the storage tank — and now the full distribution network of pipes out to every tap. We are inviting engineers, installers, NGOs and water-project teams to test it and tell us what to improve.

For: Water & solar engineers · Installers · NGOs and county water teams

What it does

  • Walk the pipeline route with your phone: GPS captures the vertices, and the app works out length, elevations and pipe size
  • Enter what GPS cannot see: water levels, borehole yield, pump setting depth, riser and cable distances
  • Get the pump duty, solar array, storage tank and cable sizes, checked against the source yield — or skip the pump entirely for a gravity-fed spring or reservoir
  • Design the distribution network too: junctions, branches and demand by category at every tap, with pipes auto-sized to the real internal bore and pressure class
  • Water-hammer screening with recommendations, a printable report, and a quantities-only Bill of Quantities ready to price
  • Metric units now; sign in by email code to sync projects between devices

Who it's for

Engineers and installers designing solar pumping schemes for communities, farms and institutions

NGOs and county water teams who need a quick, defensible first design in the field

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to test?

Yes — it's currently in open beta at smartwater.nextritech.com. We're actively inviting engineers, installers, NGOs and water-project teams to test it and send feedback to info@nextritech.com.

Is there an Android app?

An Android version with offline use and native GPS route capture is going through closed testing and will appear on Google Play soon. Use the web version at smartwater.nextritech.com in the meantime.

Does it handle gravity-fed schemes, or only pumped ones?

Both — you can skip the pump entirely and design a gravity-fed scheme from a spring or reservoir, or size a solar-powered pump station against your source yield.

Can I sync a project between my phone and a laptop?

Yes — sign in with an emailed code and your projects sync between devices.
